FALL!

Hello Family and Friends,
It has been a few months since my last blog. Sorry! Facebook it easier sometimes. So the past couple of months have been great. The fall is here and now all the leaves are mostly on the ground. The weather here in N. Carolina has been great. I started a new job at another dental office and left the horrible stressful cooperate office I was at for 1 year. I work with Dr. Crowley and she is awesome. It is different working for a women, and better in my opinion. My co-workers are great and I truly am blessed to be there. Jesse is doing well in school. Nearing the end of the semester now so he is studying a lot before Thanksgiving break. He will have finals soon and then three weeks off for Christmas break before starting another semester. This is the hardest year of Pharmacy school, but because of his prayers and all of yours he hasn't been stressed. His sweet dad also gave him a priesthood blessing in Aug last time we were home. He was told he would handle the stresses of school and blessed with more intellect and comfort to get through this year. And he truly has been. Heavenly Father blesses us so much and I am so grateful for the knowledge of a God who loves us and a Savior who loves us and lets us repent so we can live with them again. As I have more experiences in life and get older I have truly come to know them, and have felt their love and concern for me. I can't imagine a life without the gospel and the basic truths we know!
About one month ago Jesse and I had the opportunity to fly in a small plane. A guy in our ward (Joe Baker) is a pilot for Delta and has been flying for 30+ years and also teaches flying. He has 2 small planes in a hanger in Rock Hill, SC about 20 min away. He invited us to go with him and his two youngest children on a Saturday to see the fall foliage. We had a blast! He has two planes, but one in an open air bi-plane, and it was raining. They both are only big enough to barley fit two people. So we flew individually in the 1939 Luscombe plane. He did a touch on go on the grass with me to turn around. And the planes are so lite they get up in the air within 10 seconds on the runway. So cool. The gas fumes tend to make you a little more nauseous though. I don't get sick easily, but Jesse does. We were both fine though. It was a cool experience and we hope to do it again soon.
We also celebrated our 7 year anniversary Oct 19th. Wow, 7 years. So weird we've been married that long. We went to the Renaissance fair the day of our anniversary and had a nice time. They come to Charlotte every year for 6 weeks. The weekend after our anniversary we went to the mountains to see the peak of the fall leaves. We were in for a surprise, not knowing it was 30 degrees and starting to snow. So with out backpack and hoodies we got up the and froze out little butts off. We went to Grandfather Mountain which I've been wanting to go to since we moved here. It has a swinging bridge that goes over the gorge and is 1 mile high. But due to the icy weather is was closed. Admission was half price because of that, and there is a nature museum and some wildlife to see. So we hung out there and had a great time. We also went to Linville Falls and saw beautiful views and waterfalls. It was all under 1 mile of hiking. It was cold, but we had a good quality time together.
Halloween was a nice day. We went to the temple in the early afternoon in Columbia SC. Then went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant, which was actually good Chinese. Here in N. Carolina they don't make it the same as in the west. So if you want good Chinese here you have to go to a nicer eat in restaurant and pay a little more. Then we came home, put our cute carved pumpkins out, and watched Blackbeards Ghost which is an old school Disney movie. It was a quiet and nice Halloween. And we didn't get any trick or treaters as usual. My pumpkin did get smashed in though :( Stupid teenagers. Oh and Jesse and I received more church callings. Jesse is now first counselor in the Sunday School Presidency and well as a teacher. And we got called to be on the activity committee. I am still a nursery teacher too. Well that about it with us for the past couple of months. I was sick last week, so getting over that. I am excited for Thanksgiving next week. It's one of my favorite holidays. We will be spending it with a family in the ward. The one who we went flying with actually! They are awesome and have four kids from age 7-21. Well I hope you all are doing well and may the Lord bless you in this Holiday season!

Charleston SC Trip & Jesse's 30th Birthday

Well our latest adventure is a weekend trip to historic Charleston, SC. We left Saturday morning and drove home Monday afternoon. We went on a horse drawn carriage ride through part of the city and got a history lesson along the way. It was insightful and fun. Then we looked around in The Market (which is a outside shopping place with homemade stuff and other trinkets). We also walked down the Waterfront which is beautiful! We ate at a restaurant that is famous there called Hymans. It's a seafood place, but to be honest I've had a lot better. Then relaxed in the hot tub at the Marriott hotel (nice). Sunday we went to Folly Beach and chilled for a few hours. It was windy though so we didn't stay as long as we planned. The water was nice and warm which I loved and had fun playing in. We did a little shopping in the quaint beach shops and ate some great mexican food. Later that night we did some window shopping and ate at a famous restaurant called Jestines. It's southern food and was on the travel channel with Anthony Bourdain. We were a little nervous, but it was excellent food. I had shrimp and grits and loved it suprisingly. MMM. Jesse had meatloaf. We had some amazing gelato after dinner. The owner of the gelato shop is from Italy. Monday we went on a Harbor Tour and saw some cool stuff. Sumter's Fort is really cool to see. It's the place that the civil war began. The U.S.S Yorktown aircraft carrier is also cool. We were going to tour that, but ran out of time. We also went to the Old Exchange and Customs building and Provost Dungeon. This is one of the last buildings built by the British Colonial Government in America. Very old and cool. And the dungeon was used originally as a prison and was common to have pirates as there prisoners. Creepy. Then we walked down a famous road called rainbow row named for the pastel colors of the homes. Then we headed home and hit a lot of traffic :( It was a good trip and interesting.
As for other stuff going on in our life. I have been at my new job for 2 days and love it so far. Everyone is very nice and friendly. It's a laid back office for the most part. Dr. Crowley is very particular, but laid back and nice. So I am grateful to be working there! Jesse is doing well in school as well and keeping busy. I also had the opportunity to go with some girlfriends to Asheville, NC and listen to Sister Beck (relief society president) talk by it. It was amazing. It was a question and answer talk. She is so inspired. I learned a lot and was uplifted. The picture with some girls are some of my awesome friends here. Love them. Well that's all of our news. Jesse had a great birthday and thanks to my family who sent him gifts and love. He loved them all. All my pics will be on Facebook.

Char's Wedding and other news!

Well Jesse and I went to Utah for my sister's wedding. I arrived after and good but long flight Wendsday (2 days before wedding. Jesse flew in the next day due to obligations he had for his internship with Walgreens. We enjoyed being with my family. My moms family all came from California and some of Justin's family came from Wisconsin. It was very busy before the wedding! But Char and Justin were sealed in the Bountiful temple on August 7th. It was a beautiful day! Char and Justin were so happy :) And the day went well. Long though. We loved being with our family and visiting everyone! Can't wait until we live closer to Ut (or in Ut) in a few years. Jesse started his second year of school yesterday. This is suppose to be the busiest year. Pray for him to do well and balance things. As for me. I had an interview today and was offered a job. It's at a great office and with a woman doctor. Which will be nice for a change! She is cool, laid back, and seems fun to work with and understanding. The staff was super nice too. So I will be starting there in a few weeks. Yeah! And it pays $5.50 more and hour with the same benefits as I have now. Score! So things are looking up for me. And I had a friend I've known for a while that just got baptized a few weeks ago. Her name is Love Scarborro. She is a single mom with a cute 5 year old. She is doing well and we will have new member lessons weekly for her progression in the church. Well that's all our news. Thanks to all of you who follow our blog. I know I don't update it as much as I should.

Trip home to Utah

Jesse and I went HOME to Utah last week (May 28-June 3)! We had a wonderful time with our families and it was so good to see them and hang out. My Grandma Vi and Grandpa Pat even drove from California to come and be there at my moms while we were there. So sweet and great to see them. Well after a long plane ride to UT on Thurs. we arrive at midnight and were greeting with much enthusiasm from my mom and sister Char. The next day we took the Front Runner to Salt Lake City, did a live session in the Salt Lake Temple, and went to the Spaghetti Factory (tradition) with my family. I was a busy, but great day. Saturday I went wedding dress shopping for Char (sister) with my mom and sister. We had a blast. Leave it to us girls to be silly :) I took lots of pictures even though I wasn't suppose to. She choose a dress that is stunning on her and she looked so beautiful. I can't wait to see her on her wedding day. She actually found "the dress" and bought it that day. Then we went to Golden Jade with Jesse's dad and brothers that evening. That's our favorite Chinese restaurant and we miss it. Chinese food out here isn't that great. Sunday we went to church with my family and it was great. Charlotte taught a great lesson from preach my gospel. Then just hung out with the family and had an amazing turkey dinner with all the fixins'. We played the Wi and some other games that evening with was so much fun. Monday we went to see my Grandpa Wally. He has recently been placed in an assisting living facility because he is recovering from hip replacement surgery. It was so good to see him and talk with him. He is an amazing man and great example to me. Love him so much and glad he is still with us. Then we headed to W. Jordon (part of SLC) to Jesse's sister's home and had a great lunch with her and Trevor (our nephew). Then went to the Oqurirrah Mountain temple open house. It's a beautiful temple! And the 4th temple to be built in the salt lake valley now. I love temples and the blessing we receive within their walls. Then we drove home and hung out with my family the rest of the evening. Wends I went to see the girls I worked with before we moved at Heritage Dental. I spent their lunch with them and it was so good to see them. I sure miss that office and my friends there. Then did some shopping at Deseret Book and the Church Distribution center. I sure miss having those type of places close by! Miss that. And then spent time with family that night. Wends our flight was very early so we had to say goodbye too soon :( Then spent 12 hours altogether traveling home. Yuck :( And I got sick on the plane ride home. My throat started to hurt. Well I was very sick by 3:00 am the next morning. Went to the doctor and found out I had strep throat. So recovered from that the rest of the week and all weekend. We had a great time with our families and miss them so much already. So grateful we were able to go back home and can't wait to see them again in December for Char's wedding. Unless it gets moved up. He he!

MUSIC!

So I have recently been loving new music and i-tunes! I have discovered Genius on i-tunes and it's awesome. If you haven't checked it out do it. It's helped me discover new artists that I never would've known about. So I added all my new music to my playlist. It starts with my favorite new tunes, but I can't figure out how to turn my playlist off shuffle. So if you go to #1 and down hopefully you'll enjoy the tunes too. And I am so excited to come home to Utah in a few weeks! I've missed my family so much and I am so excited to see them. I thank the good Lord for all my blessings each day and the opportunity to see my family again!
LOVE ME

Thankyou!

I want to thank all of you who follow my blog and have shown me love and support. Jesse and I are so grateful for you in our lives. I know the Lord gives us friends and family in our lives to help each other and love one another. I have truly felt that support and love this past month and thank you for that. I am doing well and hope to have success in becoming pregnant in the fall. I received a luprone depo shot last week to help suppress the endometreosis. It is a 3 month hormone releasing treatment that shuts down my ovaries and puts me into a temporary menopause. Then after that 3 month treatment and the medicine is out of my system my ovaries kick in to high gear and hopefully increase fertility. So for now we are taking a break from trying and we pray this will help.
Jesse finished his first year of Pharmacy school last week and I am so proud of him. And I can't believe a year has gone by already. He did well and getting a 3.5 GPA for the year. This last Friday we were out doing some shopping and he said "We need to get home, I have to study for a test". I didn't think anything about it as we were headed home and then he just started laughing. I asked what he was laughing about and he said "I done with school, it's summer remember?" I started laughing, because I'm so use to him having school and tests and homework. Ah the life of a school widow. Jesse starts a 2 week internship at a hospital pharmacy tomorrow. He looks forward to learning more and being in a different pharmacy environment. Then after two weeks he will look for a job at a pharmacy for the summer. He has one prospect already, so we'll see.
Our other news is we a going home the 28th and will be there until the 3rd of June. So 5 days. We look forward to seeing our family and friends! It's been 9 months! Grateful the price of flights to UT went down so much. Yeah Utah! Well that is all our news for now. Thanks for your support and love.
