It's HOT here in the summer! I decided I'm not much of a hot weather kind of girl. Jesse enjoyed working at River's Edge at the USNWC and we liked the perks he got. I'm still working at the same dental office and it's going well. Jesse just had a birthday and turned 31. We went to see Mary Poppins the Broadway musical here in Charlotte. We loved it! Awesome production. And I bought him a Blue-ray player too (I like to spoil him). He got the Star Trek movie in blue-ray from my sisters and he loves it. And thanks to Ty and Dawn for the cash which he put towards an I-Pod touch 4 along with money from his parents and my grandparents. And thanks mom for your contribution towards the blue-ray player.
To sum up the summer, we WORKED and played a little. Not as much playing as I would have liked due to $, but that's life these days. We took a day trip to Blowing Rock in the mountains and had a relaxing fun day. I've spent a lot of Fridays at the pool for a few hours which has been nice. I was recently called to 2nd counsler in YW and this has been a very busy calling. Between Sundays with meetings, wends. night for mutual, and more meetings it keeps me busy. I love the YW though. And I still try to work out 3-4 days a week and cook a little. Life gets busier to older you get I think.
Jesse has been in school for 5 weeks now and the first 5 weeks of this semester were very hard. He had a rotation at the hospital in Cardio patient care. His preceptor was a very intelligent woman with high standards and expectations. He felt very challenged more so than any other rotation. But he made it through okay and should get a decent grade. I'm sure this class has prepared him better for his career, but he isn't sure hospital pharmacy is his gig. He is glad it's over. He also had a very challenging class in cancer drugs and blood disorder drugs. A lot of memorization and difficult. So he has a few new classes starting Mon to fill in for these classes, but they shouldn't be so difficult. We find out Oct 2nd if we stay here in Charlotte or have to move for the last year of school (4th yr rotations). We can put three choices down. #1-Charlotte, #2-Asheville(Western NC in the mountains), #3-Wilmington (East coast by the beach). So I'm anxious to know if we are moving and if so, where???
Jesse and I are now aunt Jenny and uncle Jesse! Charlotte had a baby boy 9-11 at 11:00 am weighing in at 12 oz and 10.5". His name is Brannick and he is so cute! He was 3 months early so he is in the NICU, but doing awesome and is a fighter. He has Char's cute nose and toes! I wish I was there to see him, but I'll get to see him in Dec. Well I think that's all our news. Jesse finished school in May and we moved to a new apartment and the end of May. We are living just a few miles away from where we were, but in a better part of town. We love it in our new apartment! It's close to restaurants and shopping, they are much newer apartments, and we pay a little less for a lot more space. We have another bed and bath now, which we needed the space. Out kitties love to go out on the balcony and bask in the sun and chill with us out there. Before we moved my mom came out to visit for Mothers day for the weekend. We LOVED having her here and miss her! My mom is the best! We took her to Macs speed shop (which is the best BBQ in Charlotte) after we picked her up from the airport. Friday we went to the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC and played all day. It was a blast. She loved it there in Ashville, which we do too. A artsy, quaint town in the mountains. What's not to like. There is a possibility that we may move there the 4th year of Jesse's schooling for rotations. I wouldn't mind moving there, but I would prefer not to have to move! Back to my mom, Saturday we went to Jesse's school and looked around on campus, visited the apartments we now live in, went to dinner, and rested. Sunday was church and we rested some more and just enjoyed visiting. Monday morning came :( and I took my mom to the Flying Biscuit for breakfast (great breakfast place) and then said goodbye and the airport. We are sure glad she came to visit :) Jesse wasn't able to get a Pharmacy Intern position for the summer, so he is working at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. They have rafting, kayaking, canoeing, biking, zip lines, rock climbing, hiking, and a restaurant. A outdoor enthusiast dream! He is working at the restaurant in the kitchen. He enjoys it, but it's hard work for little pay. But it's a job! Today is the 4th of July and he has been working all weekend. So tonight I am going to the whitewater center to watch fireworks (by myself:( )and Jesse might get a break to come hang out with me during fireworks. We both have Monday off, so we are going to go play all day at the Whitewater center. YEAH! Plus he gets to do everything free and I get a discount. BONUS. Oh, and I went to Girls Camp last week as a leader. It was a blast! The girls are so awesome. I was in the first level, which means I was with a lot of 12 and 13 yr old girls and it was there first time. We had some homesick girls and nervousness, but they did alright. I was homesick too missing Jesse, my bed, my shower, my kitties, etc. There was no reception, so I couldn't even call Jes :( That is the longest we have been apart since we've been married. We got to go Whitewater rafting down the Nanahala gorge for a few hours and it was gorgeous and so much fun. I just love the YW and I'm so glad the Lord called me to serve them. I am a Miamaid advisor by the way. That's our summer so far. Happy 4th of July!Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-83177490497443735202010-03-29T20:07:00.003-04:002010-03-29T21:19:03.215-04:00Hilton Head IslandWell spring is here in N. Carolina. The trees are beautiful with white blossoms and allergies are in full swing. With spring comes Spring Break for Jesse. So last minute I searched online for a quick trip and Hilton Head was the place to go (because it's close and inexpensive). So thanks to Hotwire.com we got a 4 star resort for $70 a night. We left Friday morning and arrived in the afternoon to our hotel right on the beach! Yipee! So of course the first thing you do when you arrive is check out your room, the pools, the restaurants, the beach, etc. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel Oceanfront resort by the way (older, but very nice and clean). We went down the road a few miles to the Sea Pines area of Hilton Head. It's full of beautiful Spanish Moss trees that are famous in the south, and people riding their bikes along the many miles of bike trails in HH. We walked along the small shops and the pier in the harbor. We also drove through the forest preserve and saw alligators sitting on the grass by the pond. It was so cool and a little crazy seeing live gators in their natural habitat. We did not get out of our car! But took lots of pics. Then we headed back to the harbor just in time to see the sunset. Beautiful. Nothing can compare with the sunset on the ocean! I will never get over the beauty of that. Then we headed back to our hotel and relaxed in the hot tub. Awww :) On our way back to our hotel we ran into a couple we knew in the University 1st ward in Utah. How crazy is that. They live in Georgia going to grad school. The chances of meeting a couple from UT in Hilton Head on the same weekend in the same hotel is so random. Fun to chat and catch up with them. Saturday we chilled on the beach for an hour, but it was chilly. So we moved to the pool area and sunbathed. Next was lunch poolside at the buoy bar. They serve burgers, sandwiches, etc. It was nice just soaking up the sun eating good food in out bathing suits. Awww the life. Then we put some clothes on and rented bikes from the hotel. If anyone ever goes to HH this is a must. We rode bikes right on the beach and along the bike trails through the neighborhoods. So much fun. The beach there is very wide and the tide is very low in the day. So a good part of the sand is compact and easy to ride on. It was so relaxing and fun. I hadn't ridden a bike for I don't know how many years. You always remember how and it comes right back, thankfully. Then we ate leftovers and chilled in our room for the evening. We were pooped from the sun and riding bikes. Sunday came and it was cloudy. We were planning on riding our bikes and maybe chillin by the pool for a few hours after we checked out, but it started to downpour right as we were checking out. So in the rain we returned our bikes sadly and left the hotel. I wasn't ready for the vacation to end, so we decided to go to Savannah, GA and eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. It's only 30 min away from HH. So we arrived there around noon and found the restaurant called Lady and Sons. They take reservations outside, which I didn't know you had to have a reservation. So the next time they had available was 3:30. That just didn't work for us so we went into her store next to the restaurant and looked around. I was so disappointed not get a chance to eat there that I thought I would try to persuade the host and get a seat. Inside the store leads into the restaurant and I saw a host inside. So I walked up to her and told her our situation and she seated us right then, no wait. It was awesome! Charming restaurant and better yet they had a buffet that day. So we ate a lot of great southern food! It was my first time trying black-eyed peas and collard greens. I'm not over the moon about either, but not bad. Great fried chicken, pulled pork, yams, mashies /gravy, mac and cheese, peach cobbler, gooey cake, etc, Wow it was "deelish" and we left happy with very full stomachs. Then we headed home for the 4 1/2 hour drive. It was a short but wonderful and relaxing trip! I'm ready to go back!Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-28413858126001202692009-12-27T17:04:00.000-05:002009-12-27T17:51:16.914-05:00Christmas!

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-25967501845507477352009-12-26T12:28:00.005-05:002009-12-26T13:09:12.584-05:00Christmas!We had a wonderful Christmas! Christmas Eve we went to the mall for a few hours in the madness. There were a few things I needed to get. Then we came home and I started cooking away. Christmas Eve dinner was wonderful. I made my homemade Spaghetti and a great salad and garlic bread. I used my new Christmas dishes that I bought myself with my birthday money. They are so pretty and simple. I love them. After a quiet dinner we chilled on the couch and watched the tube. Next thing we knew it was Christmas morning. So I woke up around 8 and woke Jes up. We opened all of our gifts and were so blessed. Out big gift we need this year is a new camera. So we received money from our parents and have enough and more. Thanks! So with the extra money we are buying a new microwave too. Ours is stupid and the door doesn't shut all the way unless you push it in. Which isn't a problem until it blows the circuit and resets the t.v.,cable, DVD player, and Internet. Not good for the electronics. Jesse surprised me with a Kitchenaid hand mixer. I love it. It's so quiet and works so well. It's stainless steel too. Used it Christmas morning! My brother and sister-in-law gave us a flat electric skillet that is so nice and we used that Christmas morning too. Here's a list of everything else I got: a Ped Egg, a Perfect Brownie pan (which is totally popular this year and hard to find. Can't wait to use it, I've been wanting one), itunes gift card, Sleeping Beauty, The Cosby Show season 6, a Charlotte Russe GC, complete works of C.S. Lewis, a recipe book compiled by the 2010 hygienists at Weber State (my sister put it together), and binoculars. Jesse got: Harry Potter: The half blood prince, Newsies, workout pans, pajama pants, Jones soda, a crooner hat, and a target GC. And we also a GC to Olive Garden from my uncle. So all in all we were spoiled! We made Christmas breakfast after opening gifts. I made homemade scones from scratch that are so delicious, eggs, bacon, and orange julius. So nummy! Then I took a much needed nap while Jesse watched the bonus disc of Harry Potter. Then we got ready and went over the the Butchers home for dinner and games. They are in our ward and we had a great time over there. Dinner was wonderful and games were fun! Then Christmas was over:( It was wonderful and not so lonely this year. We are so blessed to have wonderful families, friends, and most of all a loving Heavenly Father who sacrificed his son for us so we can live with him again. I love the Savior and this time of year to celebrate his birth and life! I love him and the gospel! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-78912480508838070522009-11-30T00:28:00.000-05:002009-11-30T00:29:06.058-05:00Birthday Pics!

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-63460385986531936632009-11-29T23:18:00.000-05:002009-11-29T23:55:47.340-05:00Thanksgiving/Jenny's 29th BirthdaySo Thanksgiving was wonderful and busy for us. Wednesday night was our traditional ward Thanksgiving dinner, which I helped with. I am on on the activities committee now. So lots to do and cook! We didn't think we would have enough food due to how many people came. About 250 people came, which is wonderful and there were a lot of investigators there as well. So we worried that there wouldn't be enough food due to more people than we planned for. But the Lord blessed our efforts and food and multiplied it. I don't know how there was enough, and everyone got plenty. So I am truly grateful for a mindful and loving Heavenly Father. It turned out great and was a fun activity. Thanksgiving day we went to the Baker's home for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so nummy! I love turkey dinner, it's my favorite. A few other ward members were invited as well (the Thackers and Giffords). So it was wonderful to be with families this year. Not lonely or depressing, although I miss my family terribly. After our wonderful dinner we played games and the kids loved it. We are grateful for our ward family who has taken us and and loved us! I love the Matthews ward! Friday I took down Autumn decor and put up Christmas decor. What a job. But my home sure looks festive and cute. That evening we went out to a appointment with the missionaries and then went to see A Christmas Carol at the theater. I has Jim Carrey in it and we liked it, but decided it would be very scary for kids. I must admit it got a little scary for us. We are wimps. We saw it in 3-D at the IMAX theater which is amazing. And my ticket was free because it was my birthday, or close enough to it (the night before). Saturday was my Birthday! I woke up and put up the Christmas tree while watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Then did chores around the house (yes I still have to do chores on my b-day). Around four I opened my gifts! I loved everything I received. I am so blessed to have a generous and loving family including my in-laws. I mostly got money, but also a few other things. Jesse gave me a parfume that I've been wanting since we discovered at Disney World. I smelled it in France @ Epcot and loved it, which I don't love perfume. Well I thought we could just get it at a department store, but no one carries it. It is rare and imported from France. So after searching in stores and online he found it on e-bay. It's called Eau De Shalimar (not the original Shalimar). I love it. Cami gave me a GC to Kohls, which I bought a sexy cute gray pencil skirt and gorgeous black heels. Char made me a custom watch that is so cute. I love it! I was wanting a new watch too. Thanks Char. I love watches! And the rest is $. After presents we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I love it! And then did some shopping at Southpark mall, which Jesse wasen't in the mood to do, but barley endured it because it was my birthday. So it has been a eventful Thanksgiving break and tomorrow it's back to work. I am excited that it is officially the Christmas season. Now it's time to go shopping:) And also I started selling Gold Canyon Candles again. They are the best candles and I've been burning them for probably close to 10 years, so why not sell them. I sold them for a few years in UT and decided to start again here in NC. Most people here have never heard of them, so that is to my advantage. Happy Holidays to my Family and Friends! May you remember the reason for this time of year and give thanks each day for a loving Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ!Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-20669640578596670992009-11-18T23:05:00.000-05:002009-11-18T23:08:08.158-05:00Fall Pictures

<a href="http://wJenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-49371747865349905152009-11-18T19:53:00.000-05:002009-11-18T22:00:01.247-05:00FALL!Hello Family and Friends,
It has been a few months since my last blog. Sorry! Facebook it easier sometimes. So the past couple of months have been great. The fall is here and now all the leaves are mostly on the ground. The weather here in N. Carolina has been great. I started a new job at another dental office and left the horrible stressful cooperate office I was at for 1 year. I work with Dr. Crowley and she is awesome. It is different working for a women, and better in my opinion. My co-workers are great and I truly am blessed to be there. Jesse is doing well in school. Nearing the end of the semester now so he is studying a lot before Thanksgiving break. He will have finals soon and then three weeks off for Christmas break before starting another semester. This is the hardest year of Pharmacy school, but because of his prayers and all of yours he hasn't been stressed. His sweet dad also gave him a priesthood blessing in Aug last time we were home. He was told he would handle the stresses of school and blessed with more intellect and comfort to get through this year. And he truly has been. Heavenly Father blesses us so much and I am so grateful for the knowledge of a God who loves us and a Savior who loves us and lets us repent so we can live with them again. As I have more experiences in life and get older I have truly come to know them, and have felt their love and concern for me. I can't imagine a life without the gospel and the basic truths we know!
About one month ago Jesse and I had the opportunity to fly in a small plane. A guy in our ward (Joe Baker) is a pilot for Delta and has been flying for 30+ years and also teaches flying. He has 2 small planes in a hanger in Rock Hill, SC about 20 min away. He invited us to go with him and his two youngest children on a Saturday to see the fall foliage. We had a blast! He has two planes, but one in an open air bi-plane, and it was raining. They both are only big enough to barley fit two people. So we flew individually in the 1939 Luscombe plane. He did a touch on go on the grass with me to turn around. And the planes are so lite they get up in the air within 10 seconds on the runway. So cool. The gas fumes tend to make you a little more nauseous though. I don't get sick easily, but Jesse does. We were both fine though. It was a cool experience and we hope to do it again soon.
We also celebrated our 7 year anniversary Oct 19th. Wow, 7 years. So weird we've been married that long. We went to the Renaissance fair the day of our anniversary and had a nice time. They come to Charlotte every year for 6 weeks. The weekend after our anniversary we went to the mountains to see the peak of the fall leaves. We were in for a surprise, not knowing it was 30 degrees and starting to snow. So with out backpack and hoodies we got up the and froze out little butts off. We went to Grandfather Mountain which I've been wanting to go to since we moved here. It has a swinging bridge that goes over the gorge and is 1 mile high. But due to the icy weather is was closed. Admission was half price because of that, and there is a nature museum and some wildlife to see. So we hung out there and had a great time. We also went to Linville Falls and saw beautiful views and waterfalls. It was all under 1 mile of hiking. It was cold, but we had a good quality time together.
Halloween was a nice day. We went to the temple in the early afternoon in Columbia SC. Then went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant, which was actually good Chinese. Here in N. Carolina they don't make it the same as in the west. So if you want good Chinese here you have to go to a nicer eat in restaurant and pay a little more. Then we came home, put our cute carved pumpkins out, and watched Blackbeards Ghost which is an old school Disney movie. It was a quiet and nice Halloween. And we didn't get any trick or treaters as usual. My pumpkin did get smashed in though :( Stupid teenagers. Oh and Jesse and I received more church callings. Jesse is now first counselor in the Sunday School Presidency and well as a teacher. And we got called to be on the activity committee. I am still a nursery teacher too. Well that about it with us for the past couple of months. I was sick last week, so getting over that. I am excited for Thanksgiving next week. It's one of my favorite holidays. We will be spending it with a family in the ward. The one who we went flying with actually! They are awesome and have four kids from age 7-21. Well I hope you all are doing well and may the Lord bless you in this Holiday season!
Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-90451278460585657192009-09-09T20:38:00.000-04:002009-09-09T21:24:42.059-04:00Charleston SC Trip & Jesse's 30th Birthday

Well our latest adventure is a weekend trip to historic Charleston, SC. We left Saturday morning and drove home Monday afternoon. We went on a horse drawn carriage ride through part of the city and got a history lesson along the way. It was insightful and fun. Then we looked around in The Market (which is a outside shopping place with homemade stuff and other trinkets). We also walked down the Waterfront which is beautiful! We ate at a restaurant that is famous there called Hymans. It's a seafood place, but to be honest I've had a lot better. Then relaxed in the hot tub at the Marriott hotel (nice). Sunday we went to Folly Beach and chilled for a few hours. It was windy though so we didn't stay as long as we planned. The water was nice and warm which I loved and had fun playing in. We did a little shopping in the quaint beach shops and ate some great mexican food. Later that night we did some window shopping and ate at a famous restaurant called Jestines. It's southern food and was on the travel channel with Anthony Bourdain. We were a little nervous, but it was excellent food. I had shrimp and grits and loved it suprisingly. MMM. Jesse had meatloaf. We had some amazing gelato after dinner. The owner of the gelato shop is from Italy. Monday we went on a Harbor Tour and saw some cool stuff. Sumter's Fort is really cool to see. It's the place that the civil war began. The U.S.S Yorktown aircraft carrier is also cool. We were going to tour that, but ran out of time. We also went to the Old Exchange and Customs building and Provost Dungeon. This is one of the last buildings built by the British Colonial Government in America. Very old and cool. And the dungeon was used originally as a prison and was common to have pirates as there prisoners. Creepy. Then we walked down a famous road called rainbow row named for the pastel colors of the homes. Then we headed home and hit a lot of traffic :( It was a good trip and interesting.
As for other stuff going on in our life. I have been at my new job for 2 days and love it so far. Everyone is very nice and friendly. It's a laid back office for the most part. Dr. Crowley is very particular, but laid back and nice. So I am grateful to be working there! Jesse is doing well in school as well and keeping busy. I also had the opportunity to go with some girlfriends to Asheville, NC and listen to Sister Beck (relief society president) talk by it. It was amazing. It was a question and answer talk. She is so inspired. I learned a lot and was uplifted. The picture with some girls are some of my awesome friends here. Love them. Well that's all of our news. Jesse had a great birthday and thanks to my family who sent him gifts and love. He loved them all. All my pics will be on Facebook.
Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-91449089912197122252009-08-18T20:15:00.000-04:002009-08-18T20:41:41.073-04:00Char's Wedding and other news!

Well Jesse and I went to Utah for my sister's wedding. I arrived after and good but long flight Wendsday (2 days before wedding. Jesse flew in the next day due to obligations he had for his internship with Walgreens. We enjoyed being with my family. My moms family all came from California and some of Justin's family came from Wisconsin. It was very busy before the wedding! But Char and Justin were sealed in the Bountiful temple on August 7th. It was a beautiful day! Char and Justin were so happy :) And the day went well. Long though. We loved being with our family and visiting everyone! Can't wait until we live closer to Ut (or in Ut) in a few years. Jesse started his second year of school yesterday. This is suppose to be the busiest year. Pray for him to do well and balance things. As for me. I had an interview today and was offered a job. It's at a great office and with a woman doctor. Which will be nice for a change! She is cool, laid back, and seems fun to work with and understanding. The staff was super nice too. So I will be starting there in a few weeks. Yeah! And it pays $5.50 more and hour with the same benefits as I have now. Score! So things are looking up for me. And I had a friend I've known for a while that just got baptized a few weeks ago. Her name is Love Scarborro. She is a single mom with a cute 5 year old. She is doing well and we will have new member lessons weekly for her progression in the church. Well that's all our news. Thanks to all of you who follow our blog. I know I don't update it as much as I should.
Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-49378017237854430222009-06-10T23:08:00.000-04:002009-06-10T23:09:09.898-04:00

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-2131935549439573162009-06-10T22:06:00.000-04:002009-06-10T22:40:07.483-04:00Trip home to UtahJesse and I went HOME to Utah last week (May 28-June 3)! We had a wonderful time with our families and it was so good to see them and hang out. My Grandma Vi and Grandpa Pat even drove from California to come and be there at my moms while we were there. So sweet and great to see them. Well after a long plane ride to UT on Thurs. we arrive at midnight and were greeting with much enthusiasm from my mom and sister Char. The next day we took the Front Runner to Salt Lake City, did a live session in the Salt Lake Temple, and went to the Spaghetti Factory (tradition) with my family. I was a busy, but great day. Saturday I went wedding dress shopping for Char (sister) with my mom and sister. We had a blast. Leave it to us girls to be silly :) I took lots of pictures even though I wasn't suppose to. She choose a dress that is stunning on her and she looked so beautiful. I can't wait to see her on her wedding day. She actually found "the dress" and bought it that day. Then we went to Golden Jade with Jesse's dad and brothers that evening. That's our favorite Chinese restaurant and we miss it. Chinese food out here isn't that great. Sunday we went to church with my family and it was great. Charlotte taught a great lesson from preach my gospel. Then just hung out with the family and had an amazing turkey dinner with all the fixins'. We played the Wi and some other games that evening with was so much fun. Monday we went to see my Grandpa Wally. He has recently been placed in an assisting living facility because he is recovering from hip replacement surgery. It was so good to see him and talk with him. He is an amazing man and great example to me. Love him so much and glad he is still with us. Then we headed to W. Jordon (part of SLC) to Jesse's sister's home and had a great lunch with her and Trevor (our nephew). Then went to the Oqurirrah Mountain temple open house. It's a beautiful temple! And the 4th temple to be built in the salt lake valley now. I love temples and the blessing we receive within their walls. Then we drove home and hung out with my family the rest of the evening. Wends I went to see the girls I worked with before we moved at Heritage Dental. I spent their lunch with them and it was so good to see them. I sure miss that office and my friends there. Then did some shopping at Deseret Book and the Church Distribution center. I sure miss having those type of places close by! Miss that. And then spent time with family that night. Wends our flight was very early so we had to say goodbye too soon :( Then spent 12 hours altogether traveling home. Yuck :( And I got sick on the plane ride home. My throat started to hurt. Well I was very sick by 3:00 am the next morning. Went to the doctor and found out I had strep throat. So recovered from that the rest of the week and all weekend. We had a great time with our families and miss them so much already. So grateful we were able to go back home and can't wait to see them again in December for Char's wedding. Unless it gets moved up. He he!

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-81106670906003155302009-05-18T20:45:00.000-04:002009-05-18T20:58:22.686-04:00MUSIC!So I have recently been loving new music and i-tunes! I have discovered Genius on i-tunes and it's awesome. If you haven't checked it out do it. It's helped me discover new artists that I never would've known about. So I added all my new music to my playlist. It starts with my favorite new tunes, but I can't figure out how to turn my playlist off shuffle. So if you go to #1 and down hopefully you'll enjoy the tunes too. And I am so excited to come home to Utah in a few weeks! I've missed my family so much and I am so excited to see them. I thank the good Lord for all my blessings each day and the opportunity to see my family again!
LOVE MEJenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-79853027656813010082009-05-10T17:02:00.000-04:002009-05-10T17:30:35.985-04:00Thankyou!I want to thank all of you who follow my blog and have shown me love and support. Jesse and I are so grateful for you in our lives. I know the Lord gives us friends and family in our lives to help each other and love one another. I have truly felt that support and love this past month and thank you for that. I am doing well and hope to have success in becoming pregnant in the fall. I received a luprone depo shot last week to help suppress the endometreosis. It is a 3 month hormone releasing treatment that shuts down my ovaries and puts me into a temporary menopause. Then after that 3 month treatment and the medicine is out of my system my ovaries kick in to high gear and hopefully increase fertility. So for now we are taking a break from trying and we pray this will help.
Jesse finished his first year of Pharmacy school last week and I am so proud of him. And I can't believe a year has gone by already. He did well and getting a 3.5 GPA for the year. This last Friday we were out doing some shopping and he said "We need to get home, I have to study for a test". I didn't think anything about it as we were headed home and then he just started laughing. I asked what he was laughing about and he said "I done with school, it's summer remember?" I started laughing, because I'm so use to him having school and tests and homework. Ah the life of a school widow. Jesse starts a 2 week internship at a hospital pharmacy tomorrow. He looks forward to learning more and being in a different pharmacy environment. Then after two weeks he will look for a job at a pharmacy for the summer. He has one prospect already, so we'll see.
Our other news is we a going home the 28th and will be there until the 3rd of June. So 5 days. We look forward to seeing our family and friends! It's been 9 months! Grateful the price of flights to UT went down so much. Yeah Utah! Well that is all our news for now. Thanks for your support and love.
Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-45356337881367746902009-04-04T21:52:00.000-04:002009-04-04T22:36:14.201-04:00Surgery ResultsFor those of you who know me well know that Jesse and I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 3 and a half years. We have been unsuccessful to create a baby and it has been difficult for us, especially for me. I have gone through testing and he has gone through testing, but no reasons found to prevent pregnancy. It has been a very frustrating thing for me to not get pregnant and have no reason why or what could possibly be preventing it. Well when we moved here to Charlotte and I had health insurance I made an appointment with a doctor that was recommended to me by a ward member. He is an awesome and kind doctor who truly cares. I feel comfortable with him and his knowledge and skill, which is important in a relationship with a doctor. Especially that kind of doctor. So after my first visit we discussed all of my past history and tests. I explained that my monthly period and other things have changed the past year and was concerned that I could have endometreosis. He felt like the changes I've had could very well be endometreosis and I had the symptoms of it. So he ordered an ultrasound to take a better look at my ovaries and uterus. Well the results of the ultrasound were interesting. It showed what appeared to be a large cyst off of my right ovary. So he gave me the choice to have a laparoscopy or to just wait 6 weeks and do another ultrasound to see if there are any changes. I opted for the surgery to get things moving and find out for sure if I have endometreosis. Well I had the surgery yesterday the 3rd of April @ 7:00 am. I was put under I.V. sedation. The results of the surgery were positive. I definitely have endometreosis! He removed a large cyst off of my right ovary and a small blood filled cyst off of my left ovary. In talking with him he said I had a pretty severe case of endometreosis and he removed approx 15 implantations around my uterus and ovaries. He also put dye through my fallopian tubes to make sure they were clear, and they are. And while he was in there he checked my appendix and liver. They are fine. They took pictures of all the implants before they were removed and then pictures after. So cool that they can do that. So I am home now recovering from this. I got home about 1:30 yesterday. The surgery took 2 hours and then it took me another 2-3 to wake up and be alert enough to get dressed and in the car. I am pretty sore and sleeping a lot. But I am so glad he found something and that it was successful. He feels like it will help with my infertility. So we will see! I am hoping. He said in 6 weeks if I am not pregnant that I will receive a depo shot for 6 months. It basically put me into menopause and I wont ovulate for that period of time. The reason for this is to get rid of any endometreosis that could still form. I will probably have hot flashes and other symptoms from it though. But if it helps it will be ok. So that's the scoop on me. Thank you to my family who has cared and supported me through all of this. And thank you to all my friends. Your love and support had meant so much to me.Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-68397359724574632122009-04-04T21:46:00.000-04:002009-04-04T21:47:01.632-04:00Florida Vacation Pictures!

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-24793377541158233132009-04-04T15:04:00.000-04:002009-04-04T21:42:14.914-04:00Florida VacationJesse and I went to Orlando Florida March 13th-21st. We has a great time and the weather was warm and sunny. We arrived at Disney World Coronado Springs Resort at 3:30 am. It took 12 hours to get there for some reason. It should have only taken 8 hours, but our GPS unit for some reason guided us a weird way. We don't even know how or why. Maybe the Lord knew if we went the direct route there could've been danger and he lead us around it. It only took 9 hours to get home. Kinda crazy! So we started the next day with 4 and a half hours of sleep and went to Hollywood Studios. What a fun park. We ate at a restaurant called 50's Primetime Cafe that was so fun. The "cast members" (workers) call you kids and all the other people eating there are your cousins. The decor is straight from the 50's and the food was good home cookin. We got a "clean plate" sticker too. The next day we went to the Magic Kingdom. Half the rides there are kid rides, so we did all of our favorites and skipped the kiddie rides. I love Splash Mountain, and got pretty wet. We ate at a restaurant in the Contemparary Resort called The California Grill. It was amazing and had the best view of the Magic Kingdom. We missed the firework show by an hour because our reservation was at 9:40 and the fireworks were at 9:00. I was bummed because I wanted to see those from that view. We both had a filet mingon steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was the best steak I've ever had! Melted in our mouths! And the rest of the meal including dessert was amazing too! The 3rd day was at the Animal Kingdom. I'd never been to this park before and it was pretty cool. We saw everything their except the Nemo and Friends show. The rides were cool. I loved the Mt. Everest Expedition ride. It takes you backwards fast for part of the ride. Jesse lost his sunglasses on this ride, but after we got off I asked the workers if they could caeck the seat we were in for them. They found them! A miracle. If they weren't expensive glassed I wouldn't have cared so much. Anyhoo. We ate at the Yak and Yeti restaurant which is asian food. I had Mahi Mahi for the first time and loved it. We saw the Jammin Jungle parade which is a fun parade. The 4th day we went to Epcot! We loved this park. We did the World Showcase for most the day. I love the countries and stores and restaurants there. We ate some pastries in France for breakfast. Then saw all the other countries throughout the day. Jesse's favorite country was Morocco. My favorite was Germany, France, and Italy, and the UK. I just long to go to Europe someday. We ate at Tutto Italia restaurant that evening. I must say that my Lasagne was best I've ever had. Sorry mom, I still love yours though. And one cool thing about Disney is they actually recruit people from the countries to work in the shops, restaurants, and rides. So it's as authentic as you can get. We saw the Illuminations show that evening to end the day. The next day we headed to Sea World. We had a great time there and saw all the shows, ending with Shamu. I don't think the Shamu in San Diego is the real one. This one definitly was. He was huge! They have a few rides too, which one I did by myself. Kraken is a pretty crazy roller coaster and so much fun. Jesse would have hated it, but I loved it. And we did Journey of Atlantis together. We got pretty wet on this ride. It was very fun! Then we got back to the hotel and decided to go see the ten o'clock showing of Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. It only played a few nights a week and this was our only chance since we didn't have a park hopper. I am so glad we got to see it. It was amazing, but would be scary for little kids. With us seeing all the parks we had two days left to decide what two parks we wanted to go back to. So the next day we went to Epcot. We did the Future Showcase and rode all the rides and saw the future stuff. I remember vividly from being at DisneyWorld when I was 13, the hydroplants and that ride. And eating at the restaurant where you they use the food that is grown there. We also did the ride that spirals up the big Epcot globe. And a few new rides there are Mission Space, which has a tame version and a intense version. I did both, and Jesse did the tame. I just waited in line by myself for the intense one, which i did for about 4-5 rides througout the parks. The ride imitates how it feels to be launched into space. So cool. The intense version you actually spin to feel the G forces like you would in a shuttle. If you look to the side and not straight ahead you will get sick. So I made sure to look straight ahead. It was cool, but definitly felt a little uneasy fro about 20 min after the ride. Worth it though. Another new ride it Test Track. Your in a "race car" and it takes you through what crash test dummies go through. But it really wasen't much different than Jesse's driving. At the end you go 70 mph outside through some very windy parts, which was a lot of fun. And they have a nemo ride that was cute too. We saw some fun show in the countries too. Jesse was called on to help in a show with French waiters because they needed someone tall. He thought that was pretty cool. That evening we went to Cirque de Solei show called La Nuba. It's in Downtown Disney, which is a lot bigger than the one is California. We loved that show! It was amazing and unbelivable. The last day we went to Hollywood Studios. We rode a ride twice called Aerosmith's Rockin Rollercoaster. It was awesome. Smooth, very fast, and in the dark with neon signs everywhere. And of course Aerosmith music. I rode Tower of Terror alone, which was fun! And we saw the Indian Jones stunt show, which Jesse loved! I remember that vividly too. Too bad they don't have the ride there. That evening we ate at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at a restaurant callled Jiko. It's an African restaurant. It was ok food. The desserts were really good though. Cool atmosphere too. Then we looked around the resort, which is amazing. Huge lodge and cool decor. It has an african safari right in the middle of the resort rooms. To wake up and see giraffes, zebra, etc would be cool! And that ended our Disney World vacations. I am so glad we got the Dining Plan with our tickets. So worth it! On our way home we stopped in St. Augestine which is the oldest city in Florida. It was very windy and cold that day. But we stopped at the beach and dipped our feet in the Atlantic Ocean. This was our fist time there! We got some seashells too, which are everywhere. We didn't have time to see the city of St. Augestine, which I am sad about. But we had to get back. We had a wonderful time and made a lot of memories! I love vacation!
Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-60091665821572292762009-03-01T19:23:00.000-05:002009-03-01T19:53:31.075-05:00February!

So it's been a pretty calm month. Not a lot of news or pictures. But I am being bugged to update my blog. So here it is. The highlight of this month is Valentines day, and it was wonderful! Jesse woke up early and went shopping for me. He bought me flowers, two cards (one funny and one romantic), and some cute green Irish pajamas. I love pajamas if you don't know that. And he had already started on house chores by the time I woke up. I woke up to the smell of pine sol, mmm clean! So the pictures are of Valentines morning. Then later that evening we went to our favorite Italian restaurant. We had our favorite waitress who is so cute and Italian. She brought us some fried mozzarella cheese on the house which was so nice. They serve so much food there! We had Spumoni ice cream for dessert which is imported from Italy. It was good! Tasted a lot like Farrs, but a little better. Then we went home and Jesse gave me a massage and ... Then he drew me a bath with rose pedals and candles. So romantic. Zoe loves to lick bath water off of our fingers but we would not let her in during our bath so she was whining at the door. She is so funny and spoiled. After our bath I let her lick the water off of the rose pedals and she loved it. She kept biting the rose pedals too. So that was our Valentines day. Oh and we went to Target and got Jesse some button down shirts. They are cool looking and he looks hot in them. Which is odd to find nice shirts at Target for him. We are getting very excited for our Disneyworld/Seaworld trip. It is in 2 weeks! So there will definitely be pics posted of that. Thanks to everyone who follows my blog and loves us! We miss those of you who are far away and hope to be coming home this summer! Oh and by the way it's snowing! We are expecting 3-8 inches in Charlotte. Very rare for N. Carolina. Maybe going into work late tomorrow. Or not at all.

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-5270093878365471562009-01-20T19:25:00.000-05:002009-01-20T19:56:03.092-05:00It Snowed in N. It snowed today. The first time in four years here. So because people are not used to snow they canceled school for Jesse and I got the day off work. Our office manager took home the schedule and called patients to cancel. Yeah. So funny. I actually had already taken the day off to get my N. Carolina license and registration. Dr. Jennings is in Puerto Rico for a week so we only have one doctor there. So it's the perfect time to do it. I had to take a written test (yuck) but passed missing olny 2. I studied hard last night. So I am an official N. Carolinian. Kinda weird. Jesse is loving school this semester. He is doing hours at a pharmacy 2 nights a week. He loves it and is helpful to the pharmacy by filling prescriptions, answering phones, taking prescriptions, etc. So he is excited for his career. Probably dosen't want to do retail pharmacy for a long time though. Jesse has spring break for a week March 14th-21st and so we have decided to go on vacation. We will be going to DisneyWorld! Yeah. We are so excited. We will be there for 8 nights. We are going to Sea World for a day as well. Jesse has never been to Disney World or Sea World, so he will love it. We are siked! I have wanted to go to Disney World again for a long time, but it was so far away before. Now we are 8 hours away, just a drive. I was 13 yrs old the only time I went to Disney World. So it will be practically new to me too. Well that's all of our news for now. Peace out!

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-14168575278468424642008-12-26T10:31:00.000-05:002008-12-26T10:35:48.365-05:00Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
So I decided to create our own blog in addition to my families blog (csters@blogspot.com). Me and Jesse had a great Christmas. We went to the Hadlocks for Christmas Eve and had a great time. They are a family from our ward and we've started a great freindship with them. Jesse gets along with Daniel and I get along with Jen-Lee. We get our hair cut by the same person and went last week together. Then we went shopping afterwards. She is so cute and fun to be with. There is Jen-Lee, Daniel and their three adorable girls ages 6-2. There will be a picture of the girls performing Christmas Bells for us. It's a primary song that unfortanetly sticks in your head. We ate a wonderful ham, cheesy potato, green bean casserole, attichoke dip, rolls, and sweet potato dish with a pumpkin crunch cake dessert. Nummy! Then we chatted and played with the girls. Then Jen-Lee's parents sang some french christmas carols for us. Her mom is from France and her dad served a mission there. It was beautiful! And we had a Christmas message from Daniel. Then the girls went to bed and we played apples to apples. Jen's parents went home and we wrapped some presents and stayed there talking till 2:00 am. Then we dreamed of sugar plums until Christmas morning. We woke up at 9:00 and opened our gifts. Our big gift for Christmas this year was a 37 in. LG high definition T.V. We bought it and put it together a few weeks ago. We love it. Wow the picture is so clear. We gave our handed down 25 in. tube t.v (20 yrs old) to Goodwill. So we have loved watching movies on it. It's fun. Jesse gave me some beautiful purple silky pjs. I love silky pajamas and purple. So he did good. My family gave us some neat little gifts and money. His parents also gave us money. So with that we have half the T.V. paid off. And we will pay the rest next month. Jesse got the Harry Potter movies 1-5 and Tales of the Beetle and Bard from me. I also got him a screwdriver and socket thats intercahngable (we needed one) and the so exciting dress socks. Oh and some pajama bottoms that he opened last night. We also are going to buy and Ipod stero player with my Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's money. And Cami and Lloyd gave us some money. We are so blessed! Thankyou everyone for your gifts. Then we had homemade scones, sausage, eggs, and OJ for breakfast. Family tradition. I had never made scones from scratch before and they turned out great. Then we went back to bed because we were tired from being out late (worth it though). So we slept till 2, and then watched the classic movie The Christmas Story. Then we made a delicious dinner (Cranberry ham, stuffed potaotes, asparagus, rolls, and sparkling cider). I miss my family so much today. I had a hard time with it being my first Christmas away from home. But at least they are olny a phone call away. That comforts me and helps. Well enjoy our pictures and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Posted by Jenny Clinger at 7:22 PM 0 comments
Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)
Followers (0)

Jenny and Jesse Clingerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00602982559119427358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5054924189326107542.post-39305281863198591322008-12-26T09:10:00.001-05:002008-12-26T09:17:26.549-05:00More Christmas Pics!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284102637595123026" style="DISPLAY: block;
